Pieces of the Puzzle

So I am trying to get a bit better with meal planning. It feels like putting a puzzle together. You need to stay in these ranges for calories, carbs, fat, protein. Each nutrient is its own piece and it is your goal to match them all up. And it can be pretty tough to get all the pieces together.

One of my biggest problems in the past was finding that balance. I often have a problem where my carbs are too high and my calories are too low and I am like can't find anything to fill in the gap that has enough calories but doesn't put me over on everything else lol. But I am working on it.

I will pat myself on the back for a great lunch that really fit in beautifully for my day.


I had a salad with Dole's tender garden mix of lettuces, romaine, carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers, chicken strips &; Then some wheat thin crackers.

It came to- 334 calories, 41 carbs, only 9 fat (1 less then what it says i should have, i did go over by 6 protein though. It was yummy and really filling in a good way.

The rest of the day was a bit off but I tracked everything i ate so yay me. 


I remember from last time when I was doing really well that it takes some effort and practice to get it all to come together but I can totally get there.




I also got to use my brand new food scale for the first time to weigh the chicken for my salad. I LOVE it. The tare function is just too cool and it is super easy to use. Truly I am so happy I got it. It was a gift from my mom for my birthday. I also got to take advantage of another birthday gift my mom got me which was a fitness ball. I got it right before my birthday actually but it was missing the little plug/pin thing to hold the air in :( But I wrote he company and they sent me a new pin right away. So it came today and I got to fill it up. I don't think I put enough air in it though lol. My cat is terrified of it lol


I did some just dance today. Nothing super intense or real work outy lol but it had me huffing and feeling exhausted. I love dancing so much. My favorite is the Jin Go Lo Ba – Fat Boy Slim. I think I am going to super push for someone to get me the other Just Dances and the Zumba for the wii for christmas <3
