It is soooo cold. What happened? Shouldn't we have a nice gradual change in the weather? Not one day it is nice, beautiful and warm and the next it is freezing as if it was the middle of winter lol
Yeah so if you didn't catch that I am cold.
My husband woke me up at 6:20am just as he was walking out the door. I slept horrible last night. I kept waking up and then at like 4:30am I just went in and out of sleep till I got up. It probably didn't help that my poor cat was also freezing so he curled up in my leg taking up a good chunk of the bed.
It also downpoured all night long. Loud plunk plunk plunk sound as the rain hits the roof lol. And yes as I got up for my walk this morning it was still raining heavily. And I had that moment of hesitation...yuck rain I shouldn't walk today. But then I reminded myself that it was just water and that people walk all the time in the rain. Put on my big girl panties and get out there!
Luckily the rain slowed down quite a bit by the time I got outside. I was still all wet but not drenched. I was cold though. I had just a tank under a big sweatshirt/hoodie & just my thin workout pants on. I need to get some warmer stuff I think before winter hits.
It was still mostly dark out as I left. And omg I love it. I was so much more relaxed as the world slept. I walked nice and slow. I got home with only alittle pain in my legs. Not crying in pain like I was last time. lol
So I finished my mile yay. And tomorrow morning will do the same!
It also opens up a whole new world to me. One mile from here is a rite aid shop and alittle further from that is alittle plaza idk what all is there except a dollar store which might be fun to check out. And in between here and there is a pet store that I think I will walk to thurs and see if I can get bird food there. & maybe they have the cat food we get. Where we lived before we had a petsmart nearby and would buy the cat food there but since we moved nothing is around here and I have been buying it online. It is no real trouble and free shipping but then if I forget to order it early enough then the cats run out before it gets here and we gotta get something else to hold them over and they always get upset stomachs when that happens= cat throw up everywhere. = not fun for me lol
Food wise...I made my first try at steel cut oatmeal. eh it didn't turn out so good. I don't think I did it right. It tasted like water. I added blueberries even and the oatmeal itself still tasted like water. Well kindof like when you make herbal tea but have a bit too much water and don't let the bag sit enough and don't add any sugar. Just like watery. So idk. I might need to let it cook longer or something.
I am going to attempt making some crockpot chicken today. I probably should have already started it lol. They had zero of the herbs I was looking for at the store so..I am just going to try to use what I have and hope it all works out. Meat is so expensive I can't get over it. I almost didn't buy it. But then I realized when I was eating unhealthy I would get like $5-6 pizza and eat it as one meal where as this chicken will last me for meals/days if not all week.
